There are so many beautiful places to see and to visit just minutes or 2-3 hours from Mesa, Arizona! My husband and I love to hunt down places of interest that we’ve not yet seen. I’m an avid photography buff, so I take my cameras, and shoot photos of the areas we visit.
Located just about four hours north and east of Mesa, Arizona, the Painted Desert can be reached from the I-40 east of Holbrook, Arizona. As you enter the Park from the North end, you will be treated to panoramic views of amazing colors and shapes. Seriously, the scenery is literally a huge canvas of multiple colors, shadows, and light.

I’ve begun to actually print and frame some of my favorite photographs.
That’s it for now, but there will be more to come. Just some additional reasons to live in our beautiful state of Arizona!!!
